A Warm, Charming Atmosphere
It's too great to be described in words
“As a child, I remembered waking up early in the morning with my Dad. We would walk down the street to the church. In the front left corner of the church, there was a little bánh mì stand. I’ll never forget it; you could see the steam coming off the bread as it was being taken out of the bag to be displayed on the cart. Local vendors would deliver it in an old moped with a brown netted basket. A bag in the front between the legs, a bag behind the driver, and several bags in the netted brown basket tied to the back of the old moped. The days that I was able to come help at my grandma’s cashew farm, my Dad would treat me to a bánh mì bơ đường. Essentially, it’s a baguette that was sliced vertically in half, then spread with butter and sugar. Growing up poor, it was a treat. I think it was about $2000.00 đồng, maybe the equivalent of $.10 cent. Affordable enough to keep you satisfied throughout the day. Even til this day, it’s the most affordable thing on our menu. On our way to the farm, he would stop by a shop to grab his cà phê sữa. A childhood memory that led to a dream that is now Ineffable Cà Phê.”
